Among other things, I’ll be giving a speech at the Opening Ceremony, participating in a one-on-one interview with Eun Heekyung on 9/10, and doing a book talk event on 9/12 with my Korean publisher, Munhakdongne. I’m very excited to be visiting South Korea for the first time and, again, very grateful to the SIWF for bringing me over and hosting me

New short story collection to be published by Knopf in Fall 2022!

I’m thrilled to share that my second collection of short stories, The Disappeared, will be published by Knopf in Fall 2022! This collection took me a long time to write, and I’m so happy it will be out in the world soon. Many thanks to the wonderful Diana Miller, who I’m delighted to be working with again, and to my incredible agent, Terra Chalberg, for making this happen!

New Spanish translation of collection

I’m very excited about the recent publication of my short story collection, The Theory of Light and Matter, in Spanish translation by China Editora (Argentina).

La Teoría de la Luz y la Materia is now available in bookstores and online. Many warm thanks to Caterina Gostisa and the staff at China Editora for making this happen! Also, very special thanks to the acclaimed Argentinian author Mariana Enríquez for writing such a lovely forward to the Spanish translation.

Finally, I’m very grateful for the kind reviews that La Teoría de la Luz y la Materia has already received, including some “Best of the Year” honors, and have loved being interviewed and interacting virtually with book groups and readers in Argentina. Special thanks especially to Florencia Scarpatti, Cecelia Fanti, Florencia Ure, Beiji Libros, and Victoria Mortimer.
